[Dana Point] [Buffet] Motif Restaurant - 南加州最棒的飯店自助餐

能讓我有難忘的用餐體驗Sunday Brunch餐廳並不是很多. 很多間餐廳的Brunch通常不是菜色選擇不夠多, 就是味道普普, 吃完了, 也就忘記了. 一間自助餐餐廳如果價位能訂在一個人$69 USD起跳(+$10 for Unlimited Champagne) 還能吸引不少的慕名人士造訪, 必定有他的過人之處. St.Regis Monarch Beach Hotel中的Motif 餐廳強調他們是在南加州最棒的Sunday Brunch. 不僅菜色豐富, 做工精緻之外, 許多現點現做的菜色氣味更是讓人垂涎若滴. 此外, 他們餐廳的地點能夠在用餐時間能一邊欣賞海景, 一邊享用美食, 以及聆聽悅耳的現場演奏爵士樂, 讓人吃的心滿意足.

Omelet Station - 在這裡可以點現做的烘蛋. 在這裡有海鮮配料 (Shrimp, Crab, Scallops)等等, 也有各類的蔬菜 (Asparagus, Mushroom, Spinach, etc) 以及一般常見的早餐配料(Ham, Sausage, Bacon, Cheese)可以加入烘蛋內. 當然, 不喜歡吃烘蛋的也可以單點各式的蛋料理, 也有純蛋白,以及替代類蛋黃給對雞蛋過敏的客人享用.

我推薦他們用Applewood Smoked Bacon配上新鮮的磨菇, 再加上一點Cheddar Cheese. 豐滿鬆嫩的烘蛋就這樣做成了.
Asian Station - 在這裡有各式各樣的亞洲美食. 現炒的蒙古烤肉, 港式點心一樣不缺. 雖然是西式餐廳可是他們也聘請了東方主廚來掌理亞洲區, 確保食物口感能夠做的道地美味.

Salad Station - 有自己可以選擇配料的自製沙拉, 加上了各式各樣的沙拉醬. 可以自己創造一個獨一無二的客製沙拉.
這裡是拌好的各色沙拉, 給不想要花太多腦筋卻又想要嘗嘗不同風味的挑剔味蕾.
Seafood Station - 排列整齊的蝦仁, 蟹腳, 生蠔. 他們的生蠔跟一般吃到飽吃起來就是比較新鮮. 蝦仁是採用大蝦, 口感彈韌. 蟹腳帶有淡甜, 生蠔更是讓人豎起大拇指叫讚!

Pancake Station - 眼花撩亂的現做鬆餅. 大人還可以選擇酒精類配料加到鬆餅裡.
旁邊也有Carved Station, 現切的火腿還有Prime Rib, 也有傳統早餐料理.

甜點更是種類繁多, 吃Brunch一定要留空胃來品嘗每一樣精心製作的甜點.

蛋糕都是縮小版方便讓人可以多吃一點. 也備有義大利Gelato供客人選用.

各式各樣不同的巧克力. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry(還有灑金粉), Macaroon 都任君選用
現點現做的Pancake (裡面是水果餡). Egg Benedict.
甜點大部分都很好吃, 甚至比很多蛋糕專賣店賣的都還要好吃.
我在等待我的鬆餅的時間跟一位也在等待的太太聊天, 她說她跟她先生每一個月最少都會來吃一次. 有趣的是, 她說她先生是在附近的Ritz Carlton Hotel上班, 可是他們也覺得這間的Brunch在質與量上都大勝附近的旅館Brunch許多. 在加州大概只有Half Moon Bay Ritz Carlton Hotel的Navio Restaurant可以比擬. 如果想要有一個難忘的用餐回憶, 來這裡吃是一個很不錯的選擇. 不過一定要先訂位 (天氣熱的時候可以要求Outdoor Patio Seating).

No Doubt, this has to be the BEST BRUNCH IN SOUTHERN CA.

In Short:

Good: Ambiance, Service is excellent, food is infallible and it was carefully cooked to perfection. Ingredients are definitely fresh and superior.
Bad: Price, but IMHO, its totally worth it: 69 without Champagne, 79 with.

Highlight of the brunch (I listed some of my personal favorites):

1) Chilled Station: Fresh Oysters/Crab Claw/Shrimps and Best Tuna Poke!
2) Salad Station: Fresh "White" Asparagus. Waldorf Salad and fresh tender greens, etc
3) Traditional Breakfast Section: Best Traditional Egg Benedict I have ever had. This one beats Norma's in NYC Hands down w/o a doubt.
4) Hot station: Delicious Fish (I believe it was halibut)
5) Carved station: Rack of Lamb & Roast Beef. It was quite delicious actually but I had better Roast Beef at Stonehill Tavern the night before.
6) Omelet Station: I had shrimp, ham, mushroom, spinach, sundried tomato and cheese. Yummy
7) Pancake Station: This is worth trying. They have over 40+ different toppings for you to choose from. Ranges from fresh fruits, to various nuts and ALCOHOL! imagine you can put some of your favorite drinks into the pancake mix. Yummy. I highly recommend putting Mango and Walnut into pancake. Mango taste soo good when it got warmed up for a bit.
8) Dessert Station: Another of my favorite station. It was divided into fresh fruits, assorted cakes, tarts, shots. Fresh Crepe station, Ice cream station. Tiramisu and Creme Brule r my favorite!

Overall: This is much better than the Brunch at Ritz few blocks down. If you want to impress someone or have special occasion. Reserve early for outdoor patio seating!
